I have Education licenses. I don't see it in the Education section yet. I assume it will propagate eventually? I'll keep checking Laurens-3DTechDraw so what did you decide on for backplotting now that you upgraded? Or do you not really backplot enough to need it? But the Turning guys do. I'm always a couple of releases ahead, for testing. And I'll ask them how to handle to loss of backplot.
You can download the trial from cam. Not sure if I know how to get to the account portal, since our serial numbers are generated upon download. So we can wait until the 17th. That will actually be better anyway since our school department is on April vacation starting on the 17th. I'll check then. If it's still not there then I will see what else I can do.
I have looked at the whats new for Inventor and I have a question since I have decided not to use it. If anyone is using it are there any worthwhile improvements that would justify me going there considering the loss of backplotting? I ran this myself this week. The biggest difference you feel in the release is the double browser.
That only works if you have both And of course, the long list of bugs is nice to have fixed but if that's worth losing the back-plot that's up to you. Will the bug fixes work or is much of this still dependent upon a Inventor install to? Have you moved forward because it was truly beneficial or because you are always on the cutting edge?
